In Luke 22:19-20 we read the testimonies of Matthew, Mark, Luke and Paul that, when the Lord Jesus established this ordinance or practice, He took bread, gave thanks, broke it and gave it to His disciples with the explanation, “This is My body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of Me”. Next, He indicated the significance of the cup: “This cup is the New Testament in My blood, which is shed for you”. Some other pertinent references are Matthew 26:26-29, Mark 14:2-25 and I Corinthians 11:24.

We follow the command of the Lord Jesus by weekly celebrating a time of worship, praise and remembrance. At this meeting you will notice a table in the centre of the room with a loaf of bread and a cup of wine on it. These are symbols only. But they are very graphic symbols rich in meaning: the bread reminds us of the body of the Lord Jesus which was broken at Calvary and the cup reminds us of His precious blood which was shed. Taken together they remind us of the efficacious death of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Visitors are more than welcome to come and observe this celebration. No collection will be taken.
